FlexScan combines four assessment methods for fast, flexible and ongoing results, so you can pick the fastest, least intrusive option for each workload.

• API assessment: Cloud provider APIs collect the software inventory, delivering results in about 150 minutes instead of 24 hours.
• Network scanning: Network-related vulnerabilities are assessed quickly and accurately.
• Snapshot assessment: Workload snapshots are captured from the cloud provider’s runtime block storage and scanned without an agent.
• Agent scanning: The Qualys Cloud Agent provides real-time, comprehensive vulnerability, configuration and security assessments.

“Workloads that can’t take an agent”: A cloud team is reluctant to install agents on certain production servers because of performance concerns.
