Trellix Data Encryption

With Trellix File and Removable Media Protection (FRP), files, USB drives, and device hard disks can be encrypted. Like many other Trellix solutions, the Trellix FRP solution is managed through Trellix ePO (Epolicy Orchestrator). With file encryption, files in shared folders and on user devices can be encrypted, and access control can be provided by assigning keys to specific individuals. With USB encryption, a designated portion of USBs can be encrypted, creating both encrypted and unencrypted areas. Similarly, access can be restricted to specific individuals or groups by assigning keys.

With Trellix Drive Encryption within Trellix FRP, unauthorized persons' access to data can be prevented in case of computer theft. Thanks to preboot encryption, Drive Encryption prevents data access through BIOS-level encryption even if the disk is opened with another operating system or attached to another device.

With Cold Boot Attack protection in Trellix Drive Encryption, it provides protection against attacks that extract encryption key data from sleeping or idle computers using specialized USBs. Additionally, the Drive Encryption product allows determining which days devices can be powered on.
