Trellix Data Loss Prevention (DLP) includes its own classification product. Like many other Trellix products, Trellix DLP is managed through Trellix ePO (Epolicy Orchestrator). Once sensitive data is identified with automatic and manual data classification options, this data can be prevented from leaving the environment, events can be logged, and automatic warning messages displayed on users' devices at the time of the event provide both security awareness and indirect training. For text-based files, Reg-Ex, dictionary creation, word and template definitions can be utilized, and by using these definitions together, false-positive results can be reduced to near zero. Additionally, with fingerprinting-based automatic classification, all types of files for applications, web applications, and shared folders are classified and protected.

With Trellix DLP, rules can be created for all exit vectors such as copy-paste, cloud applications, printer output, screenshots, sharing protocols like SMB and FTP, web uploads, social media platforms, unknown applications accessing data, and removable and plug-and-play devices, ensuring the protection of valuable data.
